Current Pictures!

Here is my new word wall! I'm going for a clean look this year. This was accomplished with painters tape (cheap) in less than 30 minutes. I used a yard stick to measure off the grid.

This is my morning meeting board. I went through the activities from left to write.

Accountable talk, rules, Bloom's, and the purple cloud is for objectives.
The green laminated scrapbook paper is for student work. The numbers were made by a teacher friend.

These were our free choice books last year. I let them chose books for their individual book bags then we switched them out every so often. It was tricky to find books by subject though... we can do better this year!

I printed book labels from the Two Sisters website. It's on the subscription side but you can find many book labels for free on TPT. For more info on organizing your classroom library: http://www.thedailycafe.com/public/Organizing_the_Classroom_Library_VIDEO.cfm
Please, ignore the computer cables! I used colored dots from the office supply store to mark the tubs and the books. I also wrote numbers on the dots. It should have made it simple to keep the books in their tubs. I did borrow older students to help me sort them out from time to time.

Looking back...

With a new school year just around the corner, I wanted to look at last year's classroom.

These were taken with my phone so not the crispest image. I don't remember it being so cluttered. Hmmm... The tubs on the tables worked out well for me. They hold pencils and a pink pearl eraser in a pencil box and a school supply box holds crayons. We tucked in workbooks and spirals and library books in there too, uh that was a little crowded. But, all that stuff was handy and easy to tidy.

Then there was the front of the room. Carpet Central. Whooo that's a lot of stuff on the board!
